Evelyn C. Nichols, 92, of Ellwood City, passed away the evening of February 17, 2018 at Countryside Convalescent Home of Mercer, PA. Born on January 10, 1926 in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Galloway Carter. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William T. Nichols, who passed away on March 12, 2014.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Michelle Swogger and husband Steve of New Castle, Victoria Nichols of Texas, Adele Partlow and husband Bill of Virginia, W. Thomas Nichols and wife Marcy of North Carolina, Don Nichols and wife Kathy of Virginia, and Melody Dilk of Indiana; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Gibson.
