Clara “Rita” Germani, 90, of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 13, 2018 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on August 25, 1927 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Clara Nocera Natale. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Germani, who passed away October 24, 1980.

Rita retired as a secretary for Fishers Corporation. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and was actively involved with the church’s Christian Mothers. Rita often volunteered for the American Cancer Society and Jameson Hospice. She enjoyed crocheting, completing puzzles, visiting casinos, and baking. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.

Rita is survived by her children, Connie Moss and husband John, Clara Germani, all of New Castle, and Mary Jo Germani of Muncie, IN, and grandchild, Rachael Moss. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alex Natale Jr. and Fred Natale.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 9:15am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father William Siple.

Entombment will take place in Resurrection Mausoleum.
