Obituary for Julianne M. Zwierzynski

Julianne M. Zwierzynski, 81, of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 12, 2018 at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler, PA. Born on December 6, 1936 in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Gombos Popovich.

Julianne had worked as a supervisor for Kroger's, and she later retired as a loss prevention manager for Hills Department Store. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Julianne was known as a great cook and an avid bingo player. She cherished the time she spent with her beloved family.

Julianne is survived by her children, Robert Zwierzynski and wife Karin of Sewickley, PA, Stanley Zwierzynski and wife Susan of Huntington Beach, CA, Michael Zwierzynski, and Susan Zwierzynski, both of New Castle; brothers, Robert Popovich and wife Arlene of Arizona and James M. Popovich and wife Lois of New Castle; sister, Margaret Colby of San Jose, CA; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jillian, and Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Lillian and Lena. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Frank Popovich, brother at birth, and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Blessing services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00am at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
