Obituary for David Ayers

David  Ayers
David Ayers, 74, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of December 13, 2017 at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler, PA. Born on January 4, 1943 in Pulaski, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mildred Shaffer Ayers. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 51 years, the former Karen Puromaki, whom he married on February 12, 1966.

A graduate of New Wilmington High School, David had worked as a foundry engineer for National Steel Castings in Sharon, PA. Following that, he worked as a self-employed painter and wallpaper installer. David enjoyed being outdoors and watching golf, college football, and NASCAR. He also was known for his great cooking.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his brother, William Ayers of New Castle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Ayers, and brothers, Thomas and Robert Ayers.

Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be conducted Friday at 12:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Dennis Bupp.
