Obituary for Donna J. Nelson

Donna J.  Nelson
Donna J. Nelson, 80, of Wampum, PA, passed away the afternoon of November 19, 2017. Born on January 3, 1937 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jean Cameron Hartzell. Surviving at home is her beloved husband of 62 years, Raymond E. Nelson, whom she married on July 23, 1955.

Donna retired as a teacher’s aide for the Mohawk School District. She was a member of Victory Family Church in Cranberry, PA. Donna enjoyed making crafts, decorating, and taking care of her home. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Todd of Piedmont, SC, brother, Donald Hartzell of Wampum, PA, granddaughter, Andrea Anthony, and great-granddaughter, Adisson Anthony. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas R. Nelson.

Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Friday at 3:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor John Spencer of Victory Family Church.

Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
