Obituary for Constantine Joseph

Constantine Joseph, 81, of Boardman, OH, passed away the afternoon of November 4, 2017 at Northside Hospital of Youngstown, OH. Born on July 22, 1936 in New Castle, PA, he was the son of the late Prince Albert and Victoria Orr Joseph. He also was preceded in death by his wife, the former Carole Lorenzi, whom he married on May 20, 1967.

Constantine had worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War Era. He was a member of St. Elias Orthodox Church. He enjoyed bowling and playing ping pong; in the service, he was a champion ping pong player. Constantine also loved to work in his yard around his house.

Constantine is survived by his children, Gino Joseph, Sheila Joseph, and Vicky Lee Joseph, all of Germany; brother, Albert Joseph Jr. and wife Bonnie of Rochester, NY; sister, Corgette Troutman and husband John of New Castle; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Joseph, brother, Edward Joseph, and sister, Irene Scalzo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Elias Orthodox Church, 915 Lynn Street. A Trisagion Service will be held Tuesday at 7:45pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:30am at the church, officiated by Reverend Kevin Long.

Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
