Obituary for Nicholas Austin Amabile

Nicholas Austin  Amabile
Nicholas Austin Amabile, 19, of New Castle, passed away August 17, 2017. He was born on December 3, 1997 in Hampton, VA. He is survived by his parents, Nicholas A. Jr. and Christine DiMuccio Amabile.

Austin had worked for Universal Refractories. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. A 2016 graduate of Shenango High School, Austin loved music and played the saxophone and tuba in the Shenango High School Marching Band. He also enjoyed computers, cars, and motorcycles, especially older cars; an old soul, he liked to work in the garage with his grandfather. Austin will always be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, and grandson.

In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by his sisters, Ashley Amabile and Allyson Amabile, both of New Castle; paternal grandmother, Karen Griffith of New Castle; maternal grandparents, Michael and Judy DiMuccio of New Castle; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nicholas Amabile Sr.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 10:15am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, officiated by Father James Downs.

Memorial contributions may be made in Austin’s honor to the Shenango Marching Band, c/o Shenango High School, 2550 Ellwood Rd, New Castle, PA 16101.
