Obituary for Naomi (Sue) Abraham

Naomi (Sue)  Abraham
Naomi (Sue) Abraham, 82, of New Castle, passed away the morning of August 1, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on March 27, 1935 in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Wimer Kennedy. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Abraham, who passed away on April 13, 2008.

A devoted member of St. Elias Orthodox Church, Sue volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Bread Baking Committee. She was a past President of Theotokos Society and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Sue enjoyed playing cards and was known as a great cook. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her children, Terri Price and husband Robert, Sam Abraham, Marshall Abraham, all of New Castle, and Robert Abraham of Meadville, PA; grandchildren, Heather Abraham and husband Frank, Jennifer Abraham, Tyler Abraham, Bobby Price, Victoria Price, Robert Abraham Jr., and Angie Abraham; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Prebble and Jean Wimer.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at St. Elias Orthodox Church 915 Lynn Street, New Castle, PA 16101. Services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00am at the church, celebrated by Reverend Kevin Long.

Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
