Obituary for Marie A. Offredo
Marie A. Offredo, 68, of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 25, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on November 9, 1948 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Irene R. DiCicco Offredo.
Marie retired after 35 years at St. Francis Hospital of New Castle where she worked for the dietary department. She was a member of Teamster Union Local 261. Marie played softball for nine years with the St. Francis Debs and bowled on two different leagues. She belonged to the Sons of Italy Lodge and was a member of St. Vitus Church.
Marie is survived by her brother, Louis Offredo and wife Joyce of New Wilmington, PA; sisters, Rita Smith and husband Dan and Rachel Audia, all of New Castle; six nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, conducted by Father William Siple.
Interment will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
