Obituary for Annie Ruth Young
Annie Ruth Young, 91, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 28, 2016 at Haven Convalescent Home. Born on January 11, 1925 in Wilson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Lyndora Davis.
A devoted member of the New Castle Revival Center, Annie served as a Deaconess and Mother of the Church for over 40 years. She also was a foster mother to many children over the years. She enjoyed cooking.
Annie is survived by her children, Victor R. Young of Maryland, Deborah Young of Tampa, FL, and Denise McHenry and husband Raymond L. McHenry III of New Castle; her former husband, Alto Young of New Castle; and five grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Michael Young.
Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Monday at 12:00pm at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Domenick Cestrone of New Castle Revival Center.
Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
