Laura S. DePolis Younger, 57, of Shenango Township, passed away the afternoon of June 1, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 17, 1958 in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret J. Huckels DePolis. Surviving at home is her beloved husband of 23 years, Elmer Younger, whom she married on October 10, 1992.

Laura had worked as the Senior Accounting Clerk for Universal Rundle. Following that, she had also worked as a Mail Processing Supervisor and Part Time Assistant Postmaster for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of St. Vitus Church. She loved arts and crafts, especially enjoying refinishing furniture. Laura will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and sister whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Laura is survived by her children, Matthew Younger, Kevin Younger, and Kristen Younger, all at home; brothers, Joseph DePolis and wife Yumi of Honolulu, HI, John DePolis and wife Lori of California, Michael DePolis of Honolulu, HI; sisters, Deborah Grass of Pittsburgh, PA, Patricia DePolis of Lisbon, OH, and Nancy DePolis of Cleveland, OH; and her dogs, Molly, Max, and Sadie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marilu Maurer.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Blessing services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30AM at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
