LaMar W. Uber, Sr., 72, of 1019 Huey Street died the morning of Monday, May 5, 2008 in Jameson Care Center. He was born September 18, 1935 in New Castle, PA and was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Suber DelDuchetto. He married the former Rosalyn Bosco on May 5, 1979. She survives.

Mr. Uber retired from New Castle Industries as a chrome plater with 36 years of service.

He was a member of St. Vitus Church.

LaMar was a lifetime member of Machinist Union Lodge #1671. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and he enjoyed fishing and traveling to casinos.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son Lamar W. Uber, Jr. & wife Judy of New Castle, PA; one sister Merrilee "Mimi" Giordano of Newport Beach, CA; a niece Kimberly Munemutsu and a nephew Ryan Gaertner both of California.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Nicholas M. DelDuchetto.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 PM & 7:00-9:00 PM at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., located at 941 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Vitus Church. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for the church. Reverend Father John Petrarulo will officiate.

Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
