Joseph Andrew Urban, 83, of 3258 Greentree Circle formerly of Edgewater Park, NJ died the evening of January 20, 2006 at his residence. He was born May 3, 1922 in Rankin, PA and was the son of the late John and Anna Urban. He married the former Mary Elizabeth Rexon on October 1, 1965, she preceded him in death May 20, 2004.

Mr. Urban was retired from the military after serving 25 years in the United States Army as a member of the 29th Infranty Division. He took part in the Normandy Invasion of World War II. Locally he was a member of St. Camillus Church. While living in New Jersey, he was a member of St. Joseph Church of Beverly, NJ. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He is survived by one sister Helen R. Rumcik of Braddock, PA and several nieces and nephews including Robert and Linda Rumcik with whom Mr. Urban resided. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters Mary Trax, Anne Mazuer and Tillie Vieira.

There will be no calling hours and services are private. Arrangements are by the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA. Interment is in the Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
