Condolence: Coach Lindy and family ... What an honor it was to teach and coach in the New Castle School District with a man who is truly a hometown hero to all of us who really knew him. We remember "Coach" as a veteran teacher and coach who helped both my wife and me to be accepted as new, young teachers at New Castle Senior High in the late 1960's to become part of a teaching and coaching family that we are very proud to this day to have been a part ... for we found that Lindy Lauro was more than a great football coach ... he was a mentor to all who really had the privilege to know him.
