Emogene Nucci, 88, of Shenango Presbyterian Senior Care, New Wilmington passed away the morning of February 4, 2011 at her residence.

She was born December 31, 1922 in New Castle, PA and was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Carmella Conti Perrotta. She married James Nucci on May 23, 1949. He preceded her in death October 11, 2007.

Mrs. Nucci retired from Bell Telephone Company after 37 years of service where she worked as a phone operator. After her retirement she worked for Klafters.

She was a member of St. Vitus Church.

Emogene was a member of the Primetimer's, the Pioneers of Bell Telephone and was a volunteer at Jameson Hospital.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, John and Peter Perrotta and three sisters, Christine Piccirillo, Rose Giuliano and Rachael Pagley.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street.

A mass of christian burial will be held Monday at 12:30 PM at St. Vitus Church. A procession will leave the funeral home at 12:00 Noon for the church. Reverend Father Sean Francis will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
