Betty J. Kosciuszko, 85, of Knox Ave. passed away the evening of July 8, 2010 at her daughter's residence in Canton, Ohio.

Betty was born in Leesburg, Pa. on September 12, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Bernice Davis Jones.

She married Teddy Kosciuszko on April 22, 1950 and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1999.

Betty was a former partner with Kosciuszko Trucking Company.

She enjoyed shopping and sewing. Most importantly to Betty was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Teddy Kosciuszko and wife Cindy of New Castle; Rodney Kosciuszko and wife Brenda of Edinburg; a daughter, Susan Thompson and husband Richard of Canton, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Kosciuszko of New Castle; a sister Florence Graham of New Castle; eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by a son, Denis Kosciuszko, a sister, Dorothy Riggins and a brother, Thomas Jones who was killed in action during WWII.

Visitation is Sunday from 2-5PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St.

A blessing service will be held on Monday morning at 11AM at the funeral home.

Pastor Jeff Brown of Middlebranch Grace Brethen Church in Canton, Ohio will officiate.

Burial will take place at St. Phillip and James Cemetery.
