Obituary for William N. "Willie" Nocera

William N. "Willie"  Nocera
William (Willie) N. Nocera, 79, of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 17, 2016 at his residence.

Born in New Castle on December 24, 1936, Willie was the son of the late Ferdinand and Anna Lambiase Nocera.

He is a graduate of New Castle High School and also graduated from Youngstown State University where he earned his bachelor's degree. Willie was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Parish. Willie retired from the Youth Development Center in New Castle where he worked as a house parent. He was a fan of NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He is survived by his children, William (Billy) Nocera and his wife Jodi of New Castle; Ann Lynne Kotfica and her husband Keith of Franklin, MA; his longtime companion, Mae Payne; brothers, Frank Nocera of CA; his twin brother, Donald Nocera and his wife Joan of Dellroy, OH; and his three grandchildren, Emma Kotfica, Brittney Nocera and Bailey Nocera.

In addition to his parents, Willie is preceded in death by his brother, John Nocera.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St.

A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:00AM.

Burial will take place at St. Lucy Cemetery.
