Theresa Rose Palmieri Naples, 99, of Battle Creek, MI and formerly of New Castle, PA died at Bronson Battle Creek on Monday, January 4, 2016. Theresa was born July 5, 1916 in Lowellville, Ohio to Alexander and Angeline Casillo Palmieri. Theresa R. Palmieri married Joseph A. Naples on October 1, 1934 at St. Vitus Catholic Church in New Castle.

She grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania where she attended school, was married and raised her family. Theresa was a faithful member of St. Vitus Catholic Church in New Castle. For years she looked forward to working as a clerk for the election polls. Theresa enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, having many needlework hobbies; she was an avid reader and a lover of old movies. She enjoyed visiting with loving relatives and friends, and most importantly, she loved raising her family and watching each generation grow.

Surviving are three children, Angela N. Anderson and husband John of Battle Creek, MI, Dr. Anthony F. Naples, M.D. and wife Karen of Orange, CA, Ann N. Mittelman and husband Scott of Mogadore, OH; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by Joseph, her husband of 48 years on November 22, 1982; a daughter, Mary Carmel Sleman; two brothers, Anthony Palmieri and Ernest Palmer; and an infant sister.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S Mill Street. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vitus Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at St. Vitus Cemetery.
