Obituary for Andrew Kushma

Andrew  Kushma
Andrew Kushma, 73, of Edinburg, PA, passed away the morning of July 12, 2015 at his residence. Born February 5, 1942 in Hubbard, OH, he was the son of the late George and Mary Mihalcho Kushma. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 53 wonderful years, the former Elizabeth Lee Watt, whom he married on May 12, 1962.

Andrew retired as a steelworker for LTV, and he had previously worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube and Republic Steel. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and outside work including farming. He also was a lifetime member of the Mahoning Township Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by his children, Carol Kushma, Andy Kushma II and wife Karen, and Cindy Kushma, all of Edinburg, PA; brothers, Michael Kushma and wife Marie of Ashtabula, OH and John Kushma and wife Ruth of California; brother-in-law, Robert Watt and wife Lois of Edinburg, PA; sister, Geraldine Tadlock of Washington state; grandchildren, Kayce Kushma, Robert Kushma, and Mackenzie Kushma; several nieces and nephews; his dog, Shadow, and granddog, Molly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, George Kushma, and sisters, Mary Anne Such, Anna Ficocelli, and two infant sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00am at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
