Obituary for Louis M. Conti

Louis M.  Conti
Louis M. Conti, 76, of New Castle, formerly of Huey Street, passed away the morning of March 4, 2015 at Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born on April 3, 1938 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna Marie Galazia Conti. Also preceding him in death was his beloved wife, the former Jacqueline D’Ambrosi, whom passed away on May 21, 2000.

Louis retired from his job for the Shipping Department of Babcock & Wilcox Company and Ferrotech Corporation. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Vitus Church. An avid sports lover, Louis was a member of the ASA Umpire Association and the All American Umpire Association, and he also served as the President of the 7th Ward Men’s Fall League. He also was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #455. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

Louis is survived by his son, Louis Conti, Jr., and granddaughters, Jacey, Callie, and Abbey Conti. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Conti.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Saturday at 12:30pm at the funeral home, officiated by Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church.

Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
