Obituary for James A. Krause

James A.  Krause
James A. Krause, 63, of Thornhill Dr. passed away the evening of January 31, 2015 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital.

Born in New Castle on October 24, 1951, James was the son of the late Felix, Jr. and Pearl Withrow Krause. Surviving at home is his wife the former Margaret Edinger.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam Era. In earlier years, James worked at Alsy Lighting in Quality Control and had recently worked at the Silgan IPEC Corporation. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 315 and enjoyed gardening and cooking. James loved being surrounded by his family and cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his step children, Betsy Johnston of Ellwood City; Patricia Quigley of New Castle; Craig Welsh of Slippery Rock; his brothers, Felix Krause III of South Carolina; Charles Krause and John Krause, both of New Castle and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5PM to 7PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 914 S. Mill St. A Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
