Obituary for Virginia Mae Nuzzo

Virginia Mae  Nuzzo
On Thursday, November 6th, 2014, a beautiful soul with a loving heart left this world and entered into Heaven to be with Jesus. Born on October 18, 1921 in New Castle, Virginia Mae Nuzzo was the daughter of the late Robert and Laura Covert Kirkwood. On May 5, 1945, she married her beloved husband, Frank Nuzzo, and the two of them spent over 55 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2001.

Virginia was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She loved to travel, bake cookies, making candy, and going to garage sales with her daughter and son-in-law. She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law with whom she resided, Kathy and Bill Stiles of New Castle; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Marlene Nuzzo of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Annabelle Davis; grandchildren, Frank Nuzzo and Traci Nuzzo; and great-grandchild, Jenna Nuzzo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wallace Kirkwood, Charles Kirkwood, Todd Kirkwood, Fred Kirkwood, and Carl Kirkwood; and sister, Sarah Johns.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Meyer.

Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
