Edith Klush, 98, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of August 1, 2014 at Clen-Moore Place. Born on June 1, 1916 in New Castle, PA, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Susan Johns Deep. Also preceding her in death is her beloved husband of 46 years, the late John Klush, whom she married on June 18, 1949.

Edith retired from her job as a telephone operator for Shenango China. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Edith enjoyed music, dancing, swimming, and crocheting.

Edith is survived by her sisters, Carol Prentice of Edinburg, PA and Delores Ligon of Yuma, AZ, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Abe and Sam Deep, and sisters, Sylvia Jacobs, June Austin, Judy Ann Leebrick, Mary Thompson, and Catherine and Mary Deep.

Visitation will take place Tuesday from 10:00am to 11:00am at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Nathan Loudon of First Presbyterian Church.

Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Edith’s honor to First Presbyterian Church 125 N Jefferson St, New Castle, PA 16101.
