Anthony Gangone, Sr., 72, of 807 Junior High Street died the morning of Monday, May 1, 2006 in Jameson Memorial Hospital. He was born July 6, 1933 in Tiggiano, Salerno, Italy and was the son of the late Peter and Maria Gangone. He married the former Kathleen Coletta on June 6, 1970. She survives.

Mr. Gangone was a retired welder from City Welding Co. and a former employee of Cobra Mfg. He was a member of St. Vitus Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons Pete Gangone & his wife Lori of New Castle, PA and Anthony Gangone & his fiance Jennifer of New Castle, PA; one brother Cono Gangone of Italy and a sister-in-law Carmella Gangone of Italy. He was preceded in death by one brother Rocco Gangone.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. located at 941 S. Mill Street, New Castle, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Vitus Church. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for the church. The Reverend Father John Petrarulo will officiate.

Burial will follow at St. Vitus Cemetery.
