Obituary for Harold W. King

Harold W. King, 79, of 222 W. Lincoln Avenue passed away the evening of June 5, 2013 in Jameson Hospital.

He was born May 21, 1934 in Imperial, PA and was the son of the late Claude M. and Hallie E. Grinage King. He was married to the former Lorraine Wilson. She preceded him in death in 1995.

Mr. King retired from Aliquippa and Southern Railroad Company where he worked as a brakeman and was a United States Army veteran. Harold loved sports, especially football. He was very easy going and had a big heart. His greatest joy was the time spent with his family and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Harold is survived by nine children, Rhonda King, Harold King, Scott King, Lavonne King and Joe King all of Pittsburgh, Bruce Goode, Shavaughn Goode and Jerome Goode all of New Castle and Shawana Goode of Ohio; brother, Donald King of Canonsburg; sister, Grace Spears of Canonsburg; twenty one grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by, two sisters and eight brothers.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street. A service will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Apostle David M. Young, Sr. of Prevailing Word World Outreach Center will officiate. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military rites at the funeral home on Monday.
