David R. Kardell, 49, of Parkwood Court, passed away the morning of January 1, 2013 at the Heritage Valley Medical Center. He was born on May 2, 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Robert and Anna Mae Springer Kardell.

David enjoyed working on cars and electronics. He loved spending time with his family, friends, his dog, Bones and his bird, Petey.

Survivors include his four stepchildren, Rose Cross and her husband Kevin, Steve Karenbauer, Charles Karenbauer, James Karenbauer, all of New Castle; his brother, Robert R. Burlett of Pittsburgh; seven sisters, Mary Lou Haybarger and husband Sam of New Castle; Louise Kardell of Pittsburgh; Robin Schmidt and husband Russ of Pittsburgh; Kim Kardell of Pittsburgh; Rose Ann Kardell of Pittsburgh; Tina Marie George of Pittsburgh; Mary Ann Kardell of Pittsburgh and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his parents David is preceded in death by his lifelong companion, Sue Anne Brest.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 6PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill ST. officiated by Rev. Jarrod Mills, pastor of Clifton Flat Alliance Church.
