Darlene Ollie Nelson, 69, of West Pittsburg passed away the afternoon of August 14, 2012 in Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born August 12, 1943 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Klam Ollie. She married her husband, the late Ronald Nelson in 1977. He preceded her in death in 2000.

Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker. She was a member of the El Fityet Allaween Syrian Association Ladies Auxiliary. Darlene was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Darlene is survived by one daughter, Tamara Mascher and husband Brian of West Pittsburg; two brothers, Gerald Ollie and wife Linda of Wexford and Joseph (Hutto) Ollie of New Castle; two sisters, Taryn Hess of New Castle and Connie Colucci of West Pittsburg; one grandson, Caden Mascher; four nephews and one niece, Christopher Ollie and wife Kathleen, Jason Ollie, Samuel Ollie, Carly Colucci and Joey Colucci and is also survived by several great nephews and a great niece.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Andrew Ollie.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street.

A service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery.
