Catherine E. Heaney, 53, of Temple Ave. passed away the morning of July 10, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Castle on March 9, 1959, Catherine was the daughter of the late Edna May Miller. Surviving is her spouse, Patrick Heaney, whom she married on October 11, 1998. Catherine had worked as a cook for Starwood Lounge. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her three daughters, Stacy Heaney of New Castle; Tiffany Heaney of New Castle; Kate Heaney of Pittsburgh; three sons, Patrick Heaney, Jr. of New Castle; Ryan Heaney of New Castle; Joseph Miller Heaney of New Castle; two brothers, Charles Miller, Jeffrey Brown, both of New Castle; three sisters, Laura Karpik of Indiana, Pa; Pamela Brown and Betty Jo Butera, both of New Castle and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and two uncles, Harvey Leroy Miller and Charles Flickinger.

Visitation is Thursday from 5PM to 8PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St.

Services will be held on Friday at 12Noon at the funeral home. Pastor David Robinson of the Chapel of Mercer Church.
