Obituary for Edward T. Klish

Edward T. Klish, Sr., 85, of Savannah Rd. passed away the morning of June 6, 2012 at his residence in New Castle.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on May 5, 1927, Edward was the son of the late Jacob and Kathryn Witon Klish. Surviving at home is his wife, the former Katherine Librizzi whom he married on June 28, 1947.

Edward was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Edward retired as a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker working with several local builders and contractors. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work and was a avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Edward cherished the times spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his three children, Ronald Klish and wife Patricia of New Castle; Edward Klish, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; Kathleen Klatka and husband Andrew of New Castle; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Donna Klish, three sisters, Stephanie Innocenzi, Mary Garczewski, Frances Ustach and one brother, Major John Klish.

A private blessing service for family will be held at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. Rev. Father Sean Francis of St. Vincent de Paul Parish will officiate.

Entombment will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.

The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform military honors at the cemetery.
